First RIPE Meeting?

Is this your first RIPE Meeting? Welcome you to the RIPE community. Please participate in our newcomers’ activities so that you can find your way to things that interest you, and have a productive and fulfilling RIPE Meeting!

If this is your first RIPE Meeting, you will receive an email inviting you to join the online RIPE 87 Intro Session, with a link to the online session. You do not need to register for either the online intro or the onsite introduction sessions.

Newcomers’ Introduction

Time: 11:30 to 12:30 (CET/UTC+1)
Where: Main Room

This session is for anyone who would like to know more about the RIPE community, the RIPE NCC and RIPE Meetings. It can also be a useful refresher if it’s been a while since you were at a RIPE Meeting.
Learn about the following topics:

  • Participating at RIPE Meetings
  • The RIPE Code of Conduct
  • Everything you need to know about RIPE 87

Newcomers’ Lunch

When: Monday, 27 November
Time: 12:30 to 14:00 (CET/UTC+1)

Right after the Introduction Talk, the Meet & Greet Team invites you to an informal lunch. This event will give you the opportunity to meet with other first-time attendees, RIPE Working Group Chairs, RIPE NCC staff and key people from the RIPE community who are onsite.

Onsite: The Meet & Greet team wear bright red t-shirts. They will be happy to help answer any questions you might have, or just to chat with you over a coffee.

Mentoring Programme

The RIPE Meeting Mentoring programme matches experienced community members with newcomers.
