Namex – Roma Internet eXchange Point is a non-profit, neutral exchange and interconnection point between national and international Internet service providers (ISPs); counting more than 200 Autonomous Systems (AS), it serves as the main Internet hub for Central and Southern Italy. 

The RIPE NCC is the secretariat of the RIPE community and coordinates its meetings and events among other activities. An independent, not-for-profit membership organisation, it supports the infrastructure of the Internet through technical coordination in its service region. Its acts as the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) providing global Internet resources and related services (IPv4, IPv6 and AS Number resources) to its members in Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia.

The RIPE NCC also provide services for the benefit of the Internet community at large.
