Ignacio Castro

Ignacio Castro is Assistant Professor at Queen Mary University of London. He obtained his PhD while researching at the Institute IMDEA Networks (Madrid, Spain), and visiting UC Berkeley (California, USA). His work sits at the intersection between economics and computer systems and uses computational approaches on Internet-related aspects ranging from Internet governance, decentralised web, content moderation, and economics of network interconnections.

He also chairs the Research and Analysis of Standard-Setting Processes Proposed Research Group (rasprg) at the IETF.
